Thank you so much for this George- yes we do have a safe deposit box...long dusty and filled with 70 era letters of conscience....we have been very lax in opening it up to new letters of conscience, although talking about it often. This letter that you have forwarded will get us going to do just that....I will address this at Meeting tomorrow and see if I can even locate the key to the box. It is extremely important that we make it known that such a box does exist-, and there are Friend's meetings all over Maine who should be participating......I will be back in touch. Thank you!
I hope that your group will be able to have a "bridge" in Boothbay area ( yeah I know the real bridge is frigid!)- at the library or somewhere for all those people who don't do demonstrations or drive to Augusta....let me know so I can direct people to a location if you can.....and I hope one of you will come to the county peace and justice meeting on Thursday, to share your ideas with us and v.v.     g
 

George- you have prompted me to check on the Friends CO file status- Yes we still have a safe deposit box containing statements from individuals documenting individuals stance against  war.  We will soon put out a press release similar to the one that you sent me before, letting it be known that we continue to maintain such a repository of statements. It is a vey important thing to be doing, not only to provide such a place, but also to put in people's minds that there are options.  Thanks for this message as well   g
